I tend to feel that each Urs celebration is more beautiful than the last. But this year, the Urs at Hazrat Inayat Khan’s Dargah in New Delhi felt truly exceptional.
Beyond the moving music and the celebration of Inayat Khan’s passing, I had the chance to connect with fellow Sufis from many parts of the world.
Particularly memorable were the insightful conversations on self-realization and individuation, including discussions on my forthcoming book, a study of these themes, with Pir Zia (https://inayatiyya.org) and chats with Michiel van den Ingh, my fellow Board member of the Mohammed Ali Khan Foundation.
Moments like these — rich with reflection, connection, and shared wisdom — are what make these gatherings so meaningful.
